Interesting to see the results. They both have some small mods. What's most impressive is the launch on the C7. Despite starting later than the C6, the C7 really gained at the start. Too bad the top end didn't keep it going.
Now Imagine what the C7z will do. I'm not a big fan of straight line racing, but this is pretty interesting to see.

C6Z's just have a nasty, nasty top end.. difficult to launch but once they hook up.. gone.

yeah they really do. It's that NA 427... just such a beautiful engine.
It's too bad the days of regulations have kicked the NA's aside.

I approve of this. Even though that's some pretty weak driving from the C6. In that car, it just isn't possible to launch anywhere near as hard as you should be launching with that little drama.
Also, description on YouTube says the C7 runs 10s. I'll believe that when me shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.

With heads and cam? It's not that unfeasible.

I'm just going off the fact that the C6 would have smoked him if they ran the full quarter, despite a pretty weak launch.

I was targeting the disbelief at this C7 being a 10 second car, if I wasn't clear. There are quite a few C4s, even, that get into the 10s with heads and cam so I don't find it too far-fetched that the C7 can do so as well.
Whether or not the C6 Z06 smokes it is up for grabs, because it's also been somewhat modified. It does look like this C6 was starting to pull ahead, but because the C7 braked early it's hard to tell.

Yeah, you're right. Re-watched the video and it looks like the C7 may get off the gas right after the C6 starts reeling him in.
